If you’re a regular to the Great Green Systems website, you’ll have noticed that the site has had a radical makeover. This is to reflect how we’ve grown recently.
Last year GGS took over two other e-commerce websites - EvenGreener and GetComposting. So we’re now three sister sites in a recycling family.
Each site has a different but linked focus:
* Great Green Systems – food waste recycling.
* EvenGreener - gardening, composting and water conservation.
* GetComposting – the place to go to find out if your local council offers discounts to their residents to encourage them (as it says on the tin) to get composting.
These are interesting times; new food waste regulations (March 2025) require businesses with more than 10 full-time employees to recycle their food waste. Smaller companies should be planning ahead for March 2027 when the regulations will also apply to them.
There is also not long to wait before legislation comes in requiring all local authorities across the UK which haven’t yet implemented separate weekly food waste collections to do so. This was meant to take effect in 2023 but was pushed back to 2026. So just around the corner.
While the Great Green Systems look may have changed, everything else remains the same – we offer the same great customer service and we’re still looking to add even more great products to help our customers live a Great Green or EvenGreener lifestyle.
